10-24-2006Hey Cones,
Thanks to Tom, Phyllis, Amanda, original Sno Flak, Tom and Millie for coming
out to the bakery to hear Richy and I perform last Saturday.
I realized it would be different but I felt having the opportunity to hear
Richy Stano play guitar might be worth the effort. I hope it was.
I am pretty much broke but I am still determined to complete the CD. I am
going back to a full-time work to hopefully make this happen.
Many have asked about Dave leaving the band and going to play with someone
else. Here is the actual fact. Phil and I put bookings and gigs on hold for
almost a year to give Dave an opportunity to complete repairs on a house he
bought. He asked we do this. Sometime during that period he just started
playing with some other people without notice or explanation. This initially
pissed me off but then I remembered he has done this same thing in many
instances that certainly show a pattern of his personality. I am guilty of
tolerating this because he was like a brother to me. Obviously, I was
mistaken but Richy steps in and offers to help complete the CD project and
several commitments we had.
We are close to completion and I am seriously considering just recording and
staying close to home in the future.
Some of the people I have met over the years with the SNO experience I will
always remember with fondness. Certainly there are a few jerks out there as
there are everywhere so let them carry on without me.
To the 70 year old bike rider I saw last Saturday at the Bakery with the
tight shorts on, please sir get some overalls or wear something a little
less revealing next time. The time for you to share has past.
Thanks to Barbara Johnson, first bass player in SNO, Phil Jones, and Richy
Stano, Steve Landis, and Dr. Lemuel Gorden for hanging in there with me. I
appreciate your support and belief in the music. To some of the rest of you
that bailed or let their egos get in the way good luck, you'll need it.
This is not the last posting on this site and I will continue to update you
all regularly until the CD is completed or we have a change of fortune.
Once again SNO ROGERS has been one of the best experiences in my life and I
will always think about the show with Alison Krause and Union Station,
getting to meet Trout Fishing in America, recording the first CD Half-Way
Home in Birmingham, Alabama, and our 10 day trip to Key West where we really
started to come together musically.
I wish all of you that read this and keep up with our activities all the
success and happiness you can stand.
Until the next time.
Happy Trails,
sno boy

Hello Cones,
Hope all is well with everyone. I have been through a series of medical
situations that I have now completed. I supose I am going to be alright but
it still gives you pause about taking care of yourself.
There is a SNO SHOW next Saturday October 14th at the Yalaha Bakery from
10:00am to noon. This will be me and Richy Stano on guitar. I admit it is
different than a regular show but seeing and hearing Richy play guitar may
be worth the price of admission. Note: It is free.
The past several months I have been talking about finishing the CD and it is
slow going but we are getting there.
So much has happen over the past 6 or 8 months to make you think about what
we are doing with the music and if continuing is really worth the effort and
hassle. It is! I just have been enjoying staying home and writing.
Phil Bob may be traveling with a band and playing lead guitar on their tour
for the next several months so we will go on and wait for him to return.
I did speak with Dave the other day and I suppose he is doing well. He is as
braindead as ever.
Once again thank you to everyone who remains in contact and supporting the
SNO music.
I hope to see some of you at Yalaha with Edith and the gang down there.
Take care of yourself and each other and think good thoughts.
I will see you guys soon.

Hello Cones,
Just to let you know about the Baker County Show there were 20 people there.
I will say they were the happiest 20 people around or it seemed so while we
were performing. I continue to be surprised by you Cones and your ability to
travel several hours to come hear us play. Again, thanks.
Let's be honest, the current SNO ROGERS sound has changed with Richy coming
into the group and Dave leaving. I certainly was concerned about the change
but no more. You really must accept we are not a bluegrass group, never
were, actually, but now things are moving in a direction more to my liking.
There is a Sno Show schedule for Saturday October 14th at the Yalaha Bakery
in Yalaha the time is 10:00 am to Noon. I am considering doing this one solo
and finally breaking in some of the new songs. Richy has expressed and
interest in going but he has been made aware the money depends on how many
people show up and with gas prices this is beginning to effect our schedule
traveling plans. Staying closer to home has been pretty good over the summer
and taking on a part-time job, diabetes educator, that's right, I do have
some brain cells left to share with the world.
Phil Bob is looking at the possibility of going out on tour with a big name
country act, but the reality of doing this comes down to money and career
responsibility. Phil has a lot of talent that needs to be tapped.
I on the other hand may just go on tour of the nurseries and garden shops
for orchids and roses just to say I am on tour.
Since I had gum surgery last week I have done nothing more than eat tofu
ribs and drink vegetables thru a straw. Tough way to lose 11 pounds.
October looks like we may get busy.
I will let you guys know.
Thanks again for you support and listen up for our new song, "Ain't Going
Down Brokeback Mountain."
See you guys this fall,

Hey Cones,
It's been a while but don't think
you have not been on my mind. I
avoid trying to post something just
because I think its funny or
entertaining, although never say
never.
Tons of Fun performs this Thursday
at the last show of the summer at
the Union County Library Back to
School Bash.
Then on the 5th of August we are
performing at Baker County
Fairgrounds in McClenny from 4-7 pm.
We also will be back at Haile
Plantation Country Club on Friday
September 1st and Friday October
5th. All else remains the
same. The harder we work to finish
the CD the more there seems to be to
do. We are officially in the Hang in
there mode in hopes of something
positive coming our way. If any
cones out there has any juice in the
psychic world, I don't mean Madam
Cleo, we will accept a little help.
Until Richy lives in one place more
than 2 months or Phil Bob narrows
down his guitar collection to 15 or
less, we look forward to seeing you
guys out there soon.

Hello
Cones,
Just to let know things are moving
along pretty well. The show at Haile
Country Club went very good. Look
for our return.
August 5th SNO ROGERS will perform
at the Baker County Fair Grounds
from 4-7pm. The rest of the details
are to be determined soon.
Richy, Phil Bob, and myself have
decided to tighten up a little bit
and bring in some new songs and let
Phil complete his solo CD project,
which I have heard several cuts, and
it's great, and Richy and I will
finish Blurred Vision and then take
the show out on the road to see how
it plays.
It's pretty good but does sound
different because the lead guitar is
taking over for the banjo with no
loss of music at all. Phil Bob's
singing voice is so good we will use
him more for lead singing which
allows me the opportunity to get a
nap.
Look for more dates coming up now
that we know who we really are.
Thanks again to all of you for
continuing to contact us and
encourage us to keep on with the
music and SNO ROGERS.
We WILL!

Cones,
The performance at Larry Wilson's
Memorial turned out very good.
Larry Wilson was a long time Cone
and Flying Tiger in China and the
South Pacific before WWII. We
enjoyed meeting so many of his
friends and family.
Our performance to be honest was
superb. Bringing in Richy Stano to
play guitar with Phil Bob doing an
amazing job of harmony and bass
guitar it was like floating thru the
show. This is likely worth seeing if
we get near your home.
Dave has finally decided he wants to
be a full-time Lake City Slicker. We
love him and will miss him but
things are better and that maybe
hard to understand but when someone
can boost the energy and playing of
two other people like Richy can then
let's see what happens.
We will do a Sno Show on June 2nd at
the Haile Planation Country Club
from 5:30 to 8:00.
The final cut to Blurred Vision has
been laid down and now to the mixing
and hopefully to the homes and
hearts of thousands of Cones around
the world. Got to think big! Farm to
Family Concert Series tonight at
7:00 check it out with Smiley Tune
Head, note Tuck Tucker can play the
dobro second to maybe Jerry Douglas.
Again, the energy and encouragement
that keeps coming from cones,
flakes, and flurries is solid.
Thanks!
Later,

Cones,
Please let me start with a brief
riddle. What do 130 million Chinese
have I didn't for the past 2 weeks.
Answer: The internet. Result:my yard
may never be the same after having
me rolling around in it. Last
Saturday April 8th I did a solo set
at Farm to Family. Certainly
different but I liked it a lot. I am
not real sure if Sno Rogers will be
a trio in the near future but there
certainly is ample opportunity to
perform. It seems more important to
finish the album and see what
happens with that. Cones, I
have learned one thing working on
this project with Richy Stano, when
you think you have it right, play it
again and then play it again,
etc. There is nothing like practice
to give you confidence if
nothing else.
Dave came into the studio last
weekend and did a little banjo work.
He still has several more sessions
to get done. There are several gigs
I am working on using the band but
for the moment I am going to take
care of completing BLURRED VISION.
A special Sno Show will take place
Saturday April 29th in Anthony,
Florida. Phil Bob, Richy Stano, and
myself will perform in the memory of
Larry Wilson a long time loyal Cone
that has passed on.
I will report back with an update
and a new email address next week.

Hey
Cones,
I made it through winter without
burning the house the dog or the
wife down. These all are good
things. Still considering my future
an realize I may have quit my job to
watch the NCAA basketball
tournament. I wish it paid. Anyway,
without this site turning into a
gossip column here is what has
happened lately since the last
entry. I took a trip to Alabama to
check out Work Play entertainment
and give them a copy of SNO TOONS
and some of Richy's Mindwalk music.
They know and like Sno already.
Let's say things went well but I
feel the best thing to do is to come
back home and work harder on music
and occasionally look for a day job.
Saturday April 8th the Sno Show will
come back to the Farm and along with
performing at 5:45 I will MC the
days festivities. If you can
tolerate "me loving some me all day
come out and check out the place "farmtofamilymusic.com
It really is pretty cool even if I'm
getting paid to to talk. What next?
Ornamental deer in the front yard?
Truth is it will be a solo
performance unless those two blow up
rubber musicians show up in the mail
before show time.
This weekend was the Kanapaha Spring
Festival which is always a beautiful
surrounding to perform. I think back
several years ago we played there
and Dave missed the entire
performance because he locked his
cars keys in his VW and couldn't get
to the show. I should thank him for
helping develop my public speaking
skills and learning not to count on
everybody all the time. Thanks Dave.
Till Saturday and who knows maybe
I'll go to Home Depot and check on
those deer. Don't get stressed

Hey Cones,
Last week I was performing a mixture
of SNO TOONS and various music to
several elementary school audiences.
The best way to put it was the shows
blew the roof off. It was like going
to a Grateful Dead concert for kids
and without the tye die and dancing
around in circles besides that there
was very little difference. It felt
just as good or better than a SNO
SHOW out on the road. The
arrangements to the new songs are
good. Richy has a way of putting
energy and tuning up some of the
songs where they have new punch and
remain funny and upbeat. This being
in the studio so much allows me time
to think back about some of the fun
we have had over the years at shows
and on the road. In 1998 we went to
WINGS & STRINGS Music Festival just
to play and learn and ended up
winning the Best New Band in Florida
contest and $500.00 we never figured
on. The weekend was magic but
thinking back on one particular
event where we were introduced on
the main stage by the MC, an older
gentleman with a leg in a cast. He
had name like the general or
colonel. When he introduced us and
we came out to play he fell back off
the stage. Dave decided to stop
playing and go help. Barbara was
leaning over and trying to grab Dave
and keep him from leaving the stage
area. All of this while the song
plays. I have laughed since but not
as hard as that day for so many good
reasons. The Colonel was not hurt
and I don't think we missed a note,
or if we did it was not too evident.
Both Dave and Barbara were so
improtant to the band in the early
days where we were so different
looking and played a style no one
else dared too.
Now many are using the Sno method to
arrange music.
Here's to the future!
Spring is just about here. So many
robins along the road side it can't
be far off.
Talk with you soon Cones,
sno boy
2-18-06
Cones,
Sometimes in your life you have to
take real control of things to make
things happen. Yesterday was one of
those days. It was beautiful and
sunny and cool and a great day to
consider the future along with
everything else. I realized I was in
a band with a banjo player that
thinks he is a rock star and a bass
player that really wants to be lead
guitar player in Lynard Skynard, and
really there's nothing wrong with
that except I don't care to be any
of those things. In the spirit of
creativity I told my boss what my
feelings were for her and in
celebration of that I am going to be
unemployed as of Tuesday Feb. 21st.
You know there is never a reason to
let someone talk to you without
respect and with condescension . I
don't want to start a movement but
some of you might try the same
thing. Of course in a few days when
I'm stacking lumber at Home Depot I
might have a different take. There
seems to be a good reason for this
and it is to work and write music
and push our dream of Sno Toons and
other projects to the forefront.
All of you thanks for hanging in
there and continuing to contact me
and encourage to continue working,
writing and performing. I will
be back in touch soon. 4 songs down
and 7 to go to complete Blurred
Vision.
See you guys soon,

SNO ROGERS Cones, Flakes, and
Flurries,
To each of you a Happy New Year.
A Sno Show took place at the Farm to
Family Stage last Saturday January 7th
during the day. It was cold but 50
or so folks came out. 18 sno cones
showed up some from Tampa and some
from Williston. The show went well
but I must confess a sense of
impatience and frustration because I
am limited to new songs due to our
inability to get people together &
rehearse. This is the reason for
going into the studio and recording
some of these new songs. Everyone
has other plans right now and SNO
ROGERS does not seem to be a
priority. After much thought I have
decided to continue on with the help
of several different musicians whom
truly want the music to continue.
The number of Sno Shows might drop
off for a while because as nice as
it would be it helps to get paid!
So, if you all are wondering if you
will ever get that Apple Ipod and
download the new SNO ROGERS CD,
Blurred Vision, the answer is yes to
both. The tracks from the studio are
coming out good.
Look for some action in a month or
two. It seems I have been getting
offers to MC and host various events
in the upcoming months so I will add
that to my list of things I swore I
would never do and now doing.
Till then,
Sno boy

Ho Ho Ho Cones,
That’s the extent of my season’s
greetings. Hope you enjoyed it.
The trip to Flora City turned out OK.
Saw several long time friends who came
to the show.I really enjoyed playing
the new songs and some of the older ones
and doing them solo was OK. It was
easier in many ways and that may be hard
to understand but I liked it. Thanks to
Pete Hennings for inviting me and
encouraging to do a show as a solo.
On Saturday January 7th the
SNO Show returns to the Farm to Family
Stage for the wintertime schedule which
will take place from 2-6:00 p.m. We
think it will be warm enough during the
day to enjoy the farm and still be able
to get home before dark.
I do know that the Lake City Slickers,
or as we call them The Weasels Hounds
will also perform that day.
This weekend Richy and I begin recording
the Blurred Vision CD for SNO ROGERS. 9
originals and 5 covers. Here’s hoping
for an accurate metronome. Trout Fishing
in America will perform at Skipper’s
Smoke House this Sunday Dec 18th. If you
are able check them out. They don’t know
us but you can tell them sno boy sent
you.
Ok, here’s hoping all of us make it thru
the holidays without incident of injury.
Be safe and let’s get together on
January 7th. Sno Show @
3:00pm.

Hello to all SNO Cones,
I have just returned from Key West and
checking out the work of Hurricane Wilma. It
is pretty bad, much worse than we had
thought.
I played and afternoon show at Sloppy Joe’s
last week performing new songs and bits I
have been working on for a while. It is a
strange fact sometimes your songs play
better 500 miles away than at home.
Performing in that venue is like going to
entertainer’s school for the day. It was a
good for me to do it and I may go back.
Thank you to my buddy Terry Cassidy for
giving me his time on stage.
This weekend Saturday December 3rd
Sno Boy takes the stage alone in Flora City
and the Heritage Festival. The activities
begin at 10:00 sno boy at 1:00. This will be
a different show than SNO ROGERS with some
different songs and arrangements. If you
want to take a day trip to Flora City,
Florida, just north of Brooksville on
Highway 41. I will be there or at the Dairy
Queen.

SNO ROGERS' CONES,
Believe it or not it has been 8 years since the
beginning of SNO with Dr. Lemuel Gorden and The
Tire Kickers. Barbara Johnson, one of the
founding members, has gone on to good things in
music. There have been a total of 11 Sno Flakes
along the way if you count a couple of short
term players that did not work out for one
reason or another. The number of laughs and
wonderful moments are countless and priceless
and we all consider these experiences a gift
from each of you that has supported us along the
way.
This Sunday, November 13th, we will perform at
the Gainesville Downtown Fall Festival, the
South Stage, at noon. Jamie Davis will also be
with us on mandolin. If you are close by you
will want to see this one.The picture on the web
site is a photo of SNO after performing at a
wedding!
On December 3rd Sno Boy will perform at the
Floral City Heritage Days in Floria City,
Florida. This will be a show with different
material and humor. Check out Mindwalk this
Saturday evening at the Downtown Community Plaza
opening for Eric Darius. Good Luck Richy! Till
Sunday at 12:00

Good Evening Cones,
Just a short note to
tell each of you that came out to the Farm on
Saturday night you did catch a good night. The
weather perfect, almost a full moon, and although we
missed Phil Bob, young Jamie Davis played his rear
off and still had enough left to finish strong. We
saw the largest crowd yet at Farm to Family likely
around 200. The music continues to be good and
here's hoping this place will prosper along with the
rest of us. Thanks Cones for so many of you showing
up. The next show is November 13th, 12:00, South
Stage of the Downtown Fall Festival in Gainesville.
Our stage is right at the Hippodrome Theater.
Let's see what happens
next Cones,
sno boy
PS: A special thank you
to a great friend and supporter of SNO ROGERS,
Andrea. Who always does her best to make the trip to
gigs and helps spread the word about our music.
10-15-2005
Cones,
Many of you came out to Thronebrooke last Sunday and
checked out the art and the three Sno sets. We
apparently picked up several new Cones from the
performances.
We are back at Farm to Family on Saturday October 15th.
We will have Jamie Davis playing bass for us, Phil Bob
has previously plans. This will be a good one anyhow
because with Jamie there will be very little loss of
performance.
Check out the
http://farmtofamilymusic.com web site to get
directions.
Last month was good and the weather maybe will be
cooler.
It's getting tougher to make those long trips on the
weekends with gas so expensive, so we are staying closer
to home until the cost of fuel levels off.
Sometimes things don't go just exactly as planned but we
will adjust and continue to make music.
See you at the Farm.

SNO
CONES,
The
Sno Show at the Farm to Family Music Club on September
17th was good. Some of you Cones and Flakes
found your way to the Farm and to the Stage in time for
our 8:00 set. Thank you all for making the effort and
coming. We enjoyed being out there, played well, and
certainly needed the time together just to pick and
listen to what other groups are playing.
You
folks at the shows and Donnie from the Farm like us
enough to ask us back again for Saturday October 15th.
This is tentative until we can clear all our schedules.
Hopefully we will be able make it on the 15th
full moon show.
Each
month we are seeing larger crowds come out to the shows.
You don’t have to deal with the hassles of parking, or
obnoxious people, excluding the musicians of course, and
you are in a relatively safe surrounding to enjoy the
music and other people. The fall shows are shaping up to
be very good.
This
Sunday October 2nd we perform at the
Thornebrooke Village Arts and Music Festival.
This will include 3 sets of music and plenty of
children’s tunes for those listeners. Come out if you
can we are looking forward to a large crowd and Dave
would like to buy everyone a dessert from d’lites low
carb ice cream shop at the Village. Be sure and tell
Dave sno boy sent you.
Once
again the three of us really thank you for your
continued support and belief that SNO ROGERS music is
good music.
See
some of you Sunday,

Hello
Cones,
I haven’t
written you all in a while and need to catch up.
We are
going back to Farm to Family,
farmtofamilymusic.com
on Saturday September 17th and would like some of
you cones to make the trip. This is really worth it. It’s a
cool place the music and sound is good, regardless of what
Sharon Yeago thinks, and you can bring your own lawn chair
and do as you please. This is beautiful land just out of
town, and away from the noise of cars and pollution. There
are scheduled to be three other groups performing that
night, but the SNO SHOW begins at 8:00.
I told
Donnie at the Farm the Cones would appear if asked. So help
me out here SNO CONES. We played well the last show just not
many people were there because of the weather.
Check out
the link to farm to family and get the map and phone number.
Dave’s
wife is due any day now with a baby Cone. We are all eagerly
awaiting the arrival of Boom Boom McBrady Junior.
We are
still waiting on a decision on the investors for Sno and
Company. Richy and I continue to work on the plans and the
music just need a little push to get over the last few
hurtles.Here
Here is to
a safe and peaceful Labor Day. Give your thoughts and
prayers to those on the Gulf coast recovering from the
Hurricane. We understand your situation.
See you
guys at the Farm.

Cones,
Some of you
guys drove around all night on the 23rd looking for
the Farm to Family concert.
It’s a little
tricky but I put the link to their site so you can get
directions and a map. Let me say you missed a good one.
The site is
cool and has lots of room to roam around and talk to folks. The
music was good. Did I mention it was hot?
We are going
to go back and play there depending on scheduling etc. This
place deserves a chance to develop and could be a great place to
go to enjoy good live music without the drunks, crime or parking
issues.
Check it out
or call Don: 386-462-5479.
I have heard
from several cones after the show at Waldo in June. One of you
from Virginia took the time to email and give a good critique of
SNO and our music. It seems the secret of us not being a
bluegrass band is slowly leaking out. What to do! Thanks again
to each of you for taking the time to give your thoughts
regarding SNO SHOWS and the ongoing tales of the SNO BOYS All
over the on the road.
Look to the
schedule for more updates very soon.
Blurred Vision
Recording should begin in a couple of weeks.
See you guys
up ahead!

Sno Cones,
Sanity is not
forth coming but I felt I should communicate with you guys anyway.
Maybe this contact will set my course straight. Hope not!
We have been
working on new songs and Phil Bob has almost completed a cool tune
with dark implications. Not sure how dark maybe kinda charcoal but
it hopefully with make the cut for the new album. Richy and I have
been making arrangements to get the sno boys into the studio and
complete the making of Blurred Vision. I keep at it and know one day
it will come to pass. Between hurricanes, moving, and chumpy
step-sons I have considered living in and RV without the engine. I
think the lack of AC won me over to staying put.
WE hope some of
you can come out to the Farm To Family Concert series on Saturday
July 23rd at the Farm just north of Alachua. Check out
the web site
farmtofamilymusic.com and get the directions from Don.
Phil Bob has been
suffering with back problems over the past several months and he has
been toughing it out when we perform. We are hoping for some relief
for him soon. I know the performance at Waldo had to be fun given
the temperature on stage. Dave(Boom Boom) McBrady made his debut
with the Lake City Slickers at the festival. I don’t for see them
playing Uncle Remus anytime soon.
I just wanted to
let you Cones know things are stilling moving no matter how slow in
the right direction and we look forward to seeing you guys soon.

SNO CONES,
Well, somehow I have become of the owner of
two homes at the same time and I will confess that I am not entirely
comfortable with the status. I suppose if the payments don't come due on
the same day and the SNO SHOWS begin picking up steam this fall
everything should be fine. I hope!
The McBrady family reunion and SNO SHOW was
held on Saturday May 14th and it turned out pretty good. Especially
since we have been skipping rehearsal for the past two months to allow
all three of us the opportunity to buy and sell houses, take care of
sick family members and get our wife pregnant, that would be David.
Anyway, Phil Bob and I have decided things
will settle down eventually and we will be ready for another year of
traveling, performing, and cracking on each other.
At the SNO SHOW on May 14th we three agreed
we miss the road and look forward to seeing some of you guys this fall.
Cones, if you can come see us in Waldo on
June 25th at 4:00, Dixie Music Park.
Till then cones keep the AC on and the
lights dimmed.

Cones,
We are working on plans to market and
distribute some of our Sno Rogers and Sno Toons music. Our producer
Richy Stano and I are spending way too much time writing and rewriting a
business plan for submission to folks we think will offer opportunities
we have been seeking for a long time.
This all started years ago with my hot idea
to combine SNO ROGERS with some songs targeting children and focusing on
character education and making positive choices for yourself. I suspect
many of us could have used a little bit of advise back then, but hey how
about now?
Anyway, Dave's and his wife Erin are
expecting a child in three months and Phil Bob and I are working on some
names just to help them out. Elvis was too obvious so how about Trebert,
or maybe August or my favorite Valentine. That's a cool name for a kid
that will learn fast and never be on time. Sound familiar?
We miss being out there and after the house
move and the business development and the working on new album material
we should see the light sometime this summer.
Dixieland Music Park in Waldo is the site of
our next performance on Saturday June 25th at 4:00p.m.
This is on hwy 301 just north of Waldo and
right across from the flea market, you know the Big Horse and the Big
Chair!
Be safe cones and wear shorts to the June
gig and freak out the hardcore grassers.

Hello Cones,
As you may have noticed we are not playing too
many gigs lately. Between our crack booking agency and the continued
episodes of life we all three have our time commited to many projects along
with SNO ROGERS.
Hopefully it is not a result of sno business but
there appears to be some positive things happening for Tons of Fun and
the children's music network project.
We performed in Jacksonville to a good crowd of
folks who likely wondered what they were getting into before we started. We
had them singing Uncle Remus before the night ended.
SNO will perform at the Dixieland Music Park on
Saturday June 25th in Waldo. Check the link to their web site and don't
expect to see us in print, but our buddy Ernie Evans has a nice shot of
himself dressed as himself.
Here's to future bright moments!

Hello SNO CONES,
I turn 54 tomorrow and in many ways I am
fascinated by the the entire tradition of a birthday. My years in
the Florida Keys offered me the opportunity to spend my birthday
alone on the boat floated in the backcountry. Those were special.
That's where the concept of SNO ROGERS came about and the idea was
born one afternoon when I was chasing around a school of permit. Go
figure. Maybe after playing Jimmy Buffett tunes for a couple years
in clubs on Duval Street, I figured there had to be more to this so
called music career than Pirate Looks at 40.
If you visit the guest page you will see
we are enjoying international visits from cones all over the world.
The translation from Japanese is "there's No Business Like SNO
business."
Amanda, SNO Princess, we are working on
the pictures from Chasco. I admit it should not be this hard!
All of you hang in and stay close to the
web site for upcoming events.
till then,

SNO CONES,
Last week was one of those that comes around
every year or so. Nice gigs, good money, and for the most part good
bands to work with.
Chasco Fiesta was very nice on Monday night
in Newport Richey. We had a blast and enjoyed the Foothill band and
their uptight bluegrass attitude. We appreciate them noting to the crowd
that "we are a real bluegrass band". I am certain that needed pointing
out. Sometimes having class is not easy.
St. Augustine Seafood festival was good.
Very windy but it seems we converted a few new cones, at least they were
having a good time.
We have a private party to perform at in
Jacksonville on April 9th and then who knows. I will keep in touch.
Keep your heads up and we will see you guys
soon.
Keep checking the site for updates.

Yo Cones,
I trust everyone made it home
safe from the past two weekends and the SNO SHOWS. Second
only to performing, the favorite time of the day is the ride
home after the show is over.
Leu Gardens remains beautiful
even after the hurricanes visits and we enjoy the venue.
Stuart Hall is a special kind of person and as much as he
hates hearing it, he's OK.
The weather at Leu was rough
with thunderstorms and rain made the trip a little more
exciting than usual. The audience had to deal with the
weather just like us so all of you there on the 27th, ARE
YOU OUT OF MINE! We appreciate it.
Chasco Fiesta this past Monday
night was very good. Newport Richey has a beautiful setting
along the river with the stage setup. The crew, the sound,
everyone treats us great.
Princess Amanda, aka SNO
FLAKE, and her family, parents, grandparents, hard to
believe, all came to the show. Hopefully we will have some
pictures of the show and Amanda's backstage experiences
ASAP.
Those two hours on stage the
other night is something special but it still is second to
all of you we meet and see out there when we come to your
town, or in some cases general area. Your energy and
enjoyment of the SNO SHOWS fuels our music.
One last word to our cousins in
the keys, the BIG PINE CONES, hang in, we are working on a
trip but you guys will have to spring for an afternoon of
flats fishing when we come down.
St. Augustine Seafood
Festival this Saturday and Sunday March 12th and 13th
at Francis Field on Castillo Drive near the Visitors
Information Center.
Here's hoping some of you will come to St. Augustine,

Hello SNO CONES,
It is getting to be time to finally
move past winter and maybe some warm outdoor shows.
The gig at Yalaha Bakery was
something to see from the stage. I did not realize there were
that many people in that part of the state. Great Crowd! Edith
was cool. She sang Edelweiss four times and received backup from
the newly formed SNO gospel trio. Thanks for coming out.
The next show is scheduled for Leu
Gardens in Orlando Sunday February 27th at 2:00 p.m. Then we go
to Chasco Fiesta in New Port Richey and hope Dave doesn't drive
to Port St. Lucie instead. Maybe our good friend Amanda, or as
we call her in the band, Princess SNO FLAKE will be there. She
is our good luck charm and musical advisor.
One brief note about traveling the
back roads the past month as I have. The robins are here for the
winter and thousands line the highway looking for berries and
food. Last week I stopped on the side of the road and watch
several hundred robins getting drunk on elderberries under
a tree. It reminded me of a gig many years ago when Barbara
still played with us. We left the show early after the crowd go
a hold of their own elderberries.
One last thing. A short note to one
of our long lost family members somewhere in Germany. We hope
you will continue to reach out and communicate with us. Dave
misses you.
Cones we certainly miss seeing you
all and maybe between Leu, Chasco, and the St. Augustine Seafood
Fest. we will catch up.
Till then or until Barry Bonds
admits the obvious.
Keep it dry.

Hello sno cones,
We are getting close to SNO ROGERS
becoming part of a music company with several independent recording
studios and distribution labels. It has gotten to the point where we
need to have control over as much of the music as possible and this
may be the best way to proceed. Financially, it could solve one of
the main barriers preventing us from completing and releasing
several new SNO ROGERS and TONS of FUN CDS in the next 12 to 18
months.
Maybe it was the hurricanes or just
getting another year older or maybe it was something one of you
cones said to me over the past year when we were out on the road.
Basically, waiting on someone to come along and fix everything for
us is a pretty skinny strategy to getting your music out there for
more folks to hear. I figure there must be at least one million of
us cones out there in the world. We just need to find each other and
enjoy the show.
As usual I digress. Thank you for
the advice.
Keep it dry and look for us at Leu
gardens Sunday February 27th @ 2:00 p.m.

Well Cones,
We traveled 400 miles yesterday and played
two show to crowds over 500 at each venues. We had a good time and met
some very nice folks. Also, many of you cones showed up at the Yalaha
Bakery with Edith as MC. This is a wonderful place to spend Saturday
morning and the food is great.
We are getting back into the groove of
writing and performing.
SNO ROGERS is going to be part of a music
company in the near future which basically means we have found some
financial backing and should be able to record and release new material
in the very near future.
Next Show is next month at Leu Gardens in
Orlando February 27th.
Thank you for the support and sense of
humor.

Holiday Greetings Cones,
From Phil Bob, Dave, Terry, and sno boy. This
was a weird year and hurricanes seem to be the theme. I think we all
have changed a little by the experience. I know I got reacquainted with a
chain saw over the past three months and I get excited about the prospects
of building a fire outside.
Let's all expect great things from ourselves in
2005 and accept nothing less.
A short thought to our buddy Ernie Evans from
Southern Lite Band. He is held up in a Jacksonville hospital with kidney
problems. How about each of you giving Ernie and his family a good thought
or prayer over the next couple of days and see him through this health
crisis. We are looking forward to sharing gigs in the spring Ernie so get
better soon.
Be safe and generous over the holidays Cones and
see you at Yalaha January 22nd.

12-12-04
Yule Tide Greetings Cones,
Here's to the season and shopping on the
internet. Looks like we are on hold for the show next week in Waldo because
our performance time may not fit in with our daytime responsibilities. We
are still working on it but for the moment we are scheduled to perform
Thursday the 16th at 9:00 p.m. Stay tuned!
There appears to be a Keys trip shaping up in
our future maybe we can produce a CONES GONE WILD video staring Phil Bob and
I. All of you and us performing some of the better aspects of the SNO SHOWS
live at different choice sites around Key West and up the Keys.
It seems our Edelweiss has improved enough that
Edith has asked us back to perform Saturday January 22 @ 10:00 a.m. at the
Yalaha Bakery.
You should also know we are back at Leu Gardens
in Orlando Sunday February 27th, directions and details on the sno site.
Apparently Stuart Hall the promoter of the venue needs some new material so
he has invited us back to steal some of the newer SNO TOONS. We love ya
Stuart. It will be fun as always and a very classy place so wear shoes
CONES.
We hope all of you survive the holidays without
gall bladder surgery. Eat slower please and plan on coming to our
Janurary shows.
Till then,
sno boy, Dave, and Fill Bob
11-27-04
Wake up Cones,
I know it has been slow to develop but I can
feel something getting ready to happen. I'm not too sure but I believe it
will be good. Stayed tuned!
The Brier Patch in Ocala was the site of the SNO
SHOW last Saturday and it was cool. Thanks to all that made the trip over or
down or just appeared. It was a perfect day. Sunday's show at the Community
Plaza in Gainesville was also choice except Phil Bob and I believe Dave paid
the sound man to keep him turned up to levels that would make Green Day
apologize. We have a short break till December when we perform at the Waldo
Fall Music Festival on December 18th at the Music Park on Highway 301.
So cones lighten up if have been down lately. We
all have to keep trying to make things better even when it hurts.
Lets do lunch!

10-28-04
Dear Cones,
Sorry I have been out of touch since the
Mandarin Folk Festival. Thanks to all of you who drove over to see us play
on Saturday night and got to listen to Pearce Pettis hog all of the time. A
word of advise, never agree to follow an act that believes they are a legend
in their own mind.
Ty, thanks for coming back the next day all the
way from Mims. Very cool and your son too.
This weekend we are at Yalaha Bakery Saturday
morning at 10:00 am. Then the following weekend we travel to Ocala for a
Fall Festival at Greenbrier Nursery on Highway 326 a couple of miles east of
US 441.
Sometimes when you travel a lot and perform you
wonder if maybe it goes unheard and then some of you show up and say things
to make us feel that maybe we are on to something with the SNO tunes. Thank
you all for reaching out a little and offering support. Oh yeah thanks to
the jerks too who always seem to motivate me to keep going.
I hope some of you will be able to make the
bakery show this Saturday.
Till then Cones, Hang in,

Well Cones,
It should be noted lightning can stirke twice in
the same place as evidenced by the path of Hurricane Jeanne and our home
site. I'm going to take a long look at my Karma and adjust accordingly.
Here's hoping each of you came through unmarked
and if you got drilled by the storm and still have your family, a guitar and
mandolin, you should be OK. Again, thanks to Publix and their opendoor
policy to my 7:05 am drop bys for coffee, breakfast, and to see a man about
a horse. It's best to bring your own johhny brush and artificial sweetner.
The Sno Show at the Theatre of Memory on Friday
October 8th has been rescheduled. We just don't know when, so I guess it has
been suspended.
Our performance time for the Mandarin Folk
Festival on Saturday October 9th is 6:30 pm. Full schedules at
www.davidmilam.com
I hope the SNO twins can get together this
weekend to play music and tune up for the upcoming shows in October and
November.
Don't forget the Show at Thronebrook Village on
October 17th 11:00am and 2:00 pm.Also, the Yalaha Bakery on October 30th. I
think I have Edelveiss down, but I keep slipping into the Julie Andrews
part.I will do my best hope that's enough because Edith awaits!
Later, be safe!

Dear SNO CONES,
Here's hoping each of you weathered the storm. We certainly
got hit pretty hard and continue to dig out and use the bathroom at Publix.
We had to change our date on September 25th to October 8th
at the Theatre of Memory. Maybe by then things will be calmer. I have
traveled a lot the past several weeks with Hurricane relief and my own
relief.
Think good thoughts and maybe we will see you in the next
month. I will talk with you soon.

Cones,
Let there be no confusion, Saturday June 12th in Palatka, Florida, 7:00pm at
the River Amphitheatre is HOT. Not, "SNO is really hot this evening," more
like, "this is your brain on rocket fuel, over well." 99 degrees when we
started with "I Know You Rider" and I remember seeing some of you cones
through the haze and heat, and the thought that the black bear from Eustis
past might be coming to take me home. Turns out it was just chick pea gone
bad in the sun. The SNO SHOW was pretty good and the 75 of you that stuck
around till the end Thank you! We have a break for a few weeks and then the
Theatre of Memory on Friday July 16.
Tons of Fun, the children's snogram, begins this Thursday, June 17 at the
Lake Butler Elementary Cafetorium. Our theme this summer is WE ARE FAMILY!
Live it.
The Keystone Muisc Series continues Saturday June 19th (7:00)pm with QuarterMoon. They play rock roots, alt country, and several other genres
that I will make up. They are very good and good people, come out for the
show. Hwy 21 at Keystone Beach on Lake Geneva. We've had real good crowds
the first two weeks and it's Free!
Walk Slow and Drink a lot of water,
Sno Boy
06-03-04
Eustis Cones,
Your numbers were small but
certainly the enthusiasm was felt on our end. We always
enjoy traveling down there, I guess the price of gas has
made us pause and wonder what we will do this coming year.
The drive home was pretty cool.
I actually saw a black bear along the side of the road
around 11:00 p.m. Certain individuals have suggested the
poppy seed dressing on my salad may have influenced my
vision. I say, "May I have a quart of that there dressing?"
This Sunday SNO performs at the
Mandarin Community Club in the afternoon. Likely after 3:00
p.m. We are pitching in with David and Pamela Milam, the
promoters of the festival, to try and draw a crowd. Has
anyone has seen the new picture of Dave at the Spring Jam
Fest on the photos page? He has his red Thomas Magnum/P.I.
shirt and the expression that says." I"m playing the right
chord." Check it out, compliments of Mitch Lind.
Maybe we will see you all in the
next couple of weeks in Mandarin or Palatka on June 12th.
The schedule of acts will be
posted on our site.
Till Sunday,
5-25-04
CONES,
Some
things you need to experience at least once in your life time to
appreciate and understand it.
Saturday at the Rick Beseler for Sheriff of Clay County Rally I
got first hand experience in observing what will happen to your
sound equipment after plugging into a 220 circuit thinking it was
110. Everything you have ever heard about a burning smell and the
speed which the equipment can melt is very true and impressive.
Thanks
to the quick thinking Fill Bob and Dave we made it work and came
away with a pretty good show.
Sunday
in Land-O-Lakes was like traveling to the other side of the world
except for the common bond, pork. There were numerous folks dressed
up with pig noses and anything I say after that just does not do
justice to this scene.
Thanks
to Tom & Phyllis, Millie & Tom, Tami & Paul( Now or Never) and
Betty, and Gloria for all making the trip out to see us perform. We
appreciate you guys more than we show. Also, to Betty regarding
Barbara Johnson our former bass player. Betty when you asked about
Barbara neither one of us gave you a good answer, but here is the
story. Two years ago we took break from each other. We had no
intention of getting back together just finishing out the contracted
gigs. Dave and I ran into each other one day and he came to the next
gig and it was like we never stopped playing together. Musically,
Dave and I have always been on the same page with a similar sense of
humor. Barbara is talented and lovely and a good friend but we do
not share the same ambitions. Neither is better than the other it
just was time to change and we feel very fortunate to have Phil
Jones. He brings so much to our group that it is better to hear us
than have me explain the difference. We love and miss Barbara but we
are happy with the present situation. Hopefully, all of us will be
happy and successful in our old age.
Sunday
afternoon has become my favorite time of the week. After the gig,
and alone in the car I drove up Hwy 41 instead of the Interstate.
Something I have begun to do lately. It is a sweet time driving on
the back roads home after the show. I think about the gig , you
cones, new songs and how fortunate I am to have an opportunity to
express myself thru music and laughter. Also, when I heard
about Pete Price, bass, and Pete Hennings mandolin from Jon Semmes
and the Florida Friends having serious medical issues I feel like we
all should do something to help. What? If anyone out there has some
thoughts please share them with us.
This
Saturday at the Eustis Grill, #1 Eustis Street show starts at 6 or 7
depending on who you ask. Come early and eat.

Well Cones,
The SNO
SHOW played the Gamble Rogers Festival for the first time and it was
pretty cool. Thanks for coming to the shows. Next Saturday May 15th we
play in Middleburg, Florida for a political rally. Hint: It will not be
for the former mayor of Interlachen. I hear he is out there trying to
find himself. The Middleburg show starts at Noon and goes till 3:00. It
will be held at the end of Carter Spenser Road.
The show
at Kanapaha last Friday the 30th went beyond description. Those in
attendance will certainly never forget that night. Also, please note the
Palatka show on June 5th has been moved to June 12th same time same
place. The Tons of Fun Programs will begin in June and travel to many
new locations around North Florida. Cones if we don't see you
around on the 15th maybe Eustis Grill on the 22nd. Get there early
because if Dave's extended family shows up you may be in the street with
Fill Bob and I. Time to clean out the hummingbird feeder and thing

Last weekend SNO played in St. Augustine at the
Lions Club Seafood Festival. It was very good. The people the sound company and
the music were all choice. I got my head tanned, we played in front of a good
crowd. SnoFlake, Bruce Sheridan sat in with Ernie Evans and the SNO set on
Saturday eve,it was good. We observed the youngest coochy coochy dancer in
America, and enjoyed Southern Lite, Scott Anderson Band, and David Milan.
We have been invited to the Mandarin Folk Festival in October. Thanks to Ernie
and Southern Lite for putting in a good word for us and just being a friend.
One last change from the calendar. The April 2nd show at Kanapaha Gardens Summer
House has been rescheduled for Friday April 30 same time and place. I hope many
of you will come out to the Gardens. Bill Hutchinson has displayed extreme
patience with us and our dysfunctions.
Tonight March 24th we perform at Blueberry Hill RV park in Bushnell. 7-9.
Next show will be the Spring Jam on the 17th and 18th of April.
Our own Phil Bob will perform at the Theatre of Memory on Friday April 9th. Hope
you all come out and sit with us and watch Phil, Fill.

Cones,
We are back in St. Augustine this coming weekend, Saturday March 20th at the
Lions Club Bluegrass and Seafood Festival at Castillo Drive/Events Field. There
should be a good crowd with Southern Lite, Scott Anderson Band. SNO shows will
be at 1:00 and 5:00 p.m.
There are new pictures beginning to appear on the web site thanks to Jim in
Sebring for sending them.
You know it is time to get back to SNO tunes when your wife spends a good part
of the evening removing splinters and wood parts from your hands and fingers.
Thank goodness that, "Let's rebuild the deck phase" of my life has concluded.
Phil, Dave, and I hope many of you will make plans to come out and visit us in
St. Augustine this weekend and check out the Spring Break Jam at Sertoma in
April. Our buddy Mitch Lind from Wings & Strings is putting this one on. SNO and
Tons of Fun will perform.

Cones,
Thank you for coming out at the last minute to see the SNO show at the
Theatre of Memory last Friday the 13th. Is was a good group filled with
enthusiasm. Many came to hear Clearwater Connection. Unfortunately Bill,
had a death in his family and had to change plans. Our thoughts are with
him.
Look for us on March 13th in St. Augustine at the North Florida Bluegrass
event for the Shriners Children Hospital. We are also performing at Gamble
Rogers this year for the first time. We will be straight, early, and on our
best behavior. Don't bet on it.
The next couple of weeks we are trying to get Dave's house ready to move in
so we will be hanging drywall, good thing I have a flat head, and finishing
up the McBrady Towers.

The Aripeka SNO show was something to see. Maybe the pictures we put on the
site will start to explain how cool the SNO flakes hanging from the ceiling
or the printed t shirts with "Let it SNO" being worn or just the SNO ROGERS
here tonight sign out front with an Honorary SNO Flake directing traffic.
All of this combined with Tom, Phyllis, Kathy at the Ranch, & Amanda on the
keyboard and sign- board, along with everyone else that drove an hour or two
to be at the show. It hits home in a good place when people reach out to
tell you they believe in what you are doing. Thanks to all at the Aripeka
show for the good vibes, good humor, and warm setting.
Look for future concerts at Aripeka Community Center and check them out. It

Aripeka awaits the Sno Show this Saturday evening at the community center.
Start time is 7:00. Dave has promised to learn the words to his new songs
that he is supposed to sing this weekend. Wish him luck. He is still upset
about finding out he is really not the inbred kid on the porch playing banjo
in Deliverance. I know I should have told him sooner but I just didn't think
he was ready yet. Phil Bob, Dave, and I hope you cones will find your way to

sno cones, Thanks to Harry Schwab for this
little known sno fact:This is a bio of
the banjo boy in the movie Deliverance.
The Nov. 17, 2003 issue of the "New Yorker"
magazine has information on the actual banjo boy (Page 64, in "Talk of the
Town," "The Pictures, The Return of the Banjo Boy").
His name is Billy Redden. He was chosen from a local elementary school. He
couldn't play the banjo very well and had another boy do the left hand work
for him. Although he was given the banjo, his mother had to sell it to pay
the bills. He now is 47, and works as a cook and dishwasher.
However, he will be appearing in another film, "Big Fish," which is to be
released next month. He is only on the screen for a few seconds -- sitting
on a porch and holding a banjo.

Sno Cones,
I am back from a week in Key West and I am a much better person for it.
Played one day at Sloppy Joe's and was pleasantly surprised by the large
crowd and good reception to the sno songs. There is a chance I might go back
and play a weekend in the near future. Also, spent a lot time staring at the
Atlantic Ocean. I do that well. It really hasn't changed much in the last 9
years. Key West on the other hand has changed so much. If you go don't plan
on parking just drive thru turn around and head back to the mainland. It is
easier than getting towed.
Yesterday, we were back at the Yalaha Bakery. Edith and company were awesome
as always. Thank you to all that came to the show. It was a good
performance. We will be in Aripeka on the 24th after playing at a showcase
in Sebring the 18th. To our sno flake Amanda, who has requested, Uncle Remus
twice over the past couple of shows. I will make a point of playing that
very cool song by Frank Zappa the night of the 24th. Count on it.
Later,

Well sno cones,
It is the time ot year to reflect back over
the past 12 months and consider some of the good and bad things that occurred.
Certainly one of the good events is bringing Phil Bob Jones into SNO
ROGERS. If we stick together, work at the new album, get a little luck, and
the people who keep insisting that we have broken will shut up, then we might
have a chance to take the SNO SHOWS to the next level. I am not too sure what
the next level really is, but it must mean playing at places where the people
come out to hear us and have a good time.
The Theatre of Memory on Saturday night was a
good show. We are glad some of you cones showed up. When the gigs are good
like that one they fly by, but when they go like last Sunday night at a
downtown Gainesville restaurant, it seems they will never end. It is not much
fun when it starts out with the manager of the venue telling you they do not
have live music. That is a significant clue the night might just go downhill
from there. We did enjoy the food and thanks to my pilates instructor and her
not so famous husband for coming to catch the first set. They might have
stayed if their pizza order had been delivered in less than 1 hour. This is
all a learning process and we are open to suggestions. Keep them on the
positive side.
Our next show is January 3rd at the Yalaha
Bakery starting 10:30 a.m. We hope many of you will be there for the fun.
Be safe during the holidays we need you
around.
Peace,

sno cones,
In the spirit of the season give of yourself this Sunday evening December 7th,
7:00p.m. Mellow Mushroom, 1209 University Avenue, Gainesville. About a block
east of campus. We may need your support since this will be the first SNO SHOW
there. We fully expect the crack entertainment department of The Gainesville
Sun to provide their usual on the spot accurate coverage. But just in case
they forget make a little space of time Sunday eve. early and come down for
the fun.
Monday December 8th Phil Bob, Dave, and I will perform, TONS of FUN, at
Bronson Elementary School at 8:00 p.m. This will be our first TOF show with
the "New Grass" sound and harmony arrangements.
This update is beginning to sound like a plea for help so I will just say
thanks to all of you for the kind word of encouragement. Phil Bob went to
Georgia with his family for the holiday, Dave worked on his house, and
I looked out the window a lot. For those signing the guest book, the
entry:
"they are good" wins the prize for," Best
Economy of Words to Express An Idea Award." Would you consider taking us on as
clients and develop our Public Relations material?
Next Saturday December 13th at the Theatre of Memory, SNO Remembers Christmas
Past, by not performing one Christmas or Holiday tune, well maybe "I Don't
Look Naked Anymore," which is fast becoming the number 1 requested song for
Office Christmas Parties around America, Canada, and the Pacific Rim.
Have a good weekend.

sno cones,
Some of you actually
made the trip to Hoboken, Ga. last weekend for the Sno Show. Thank you. The
performance went well and I believe we converted some non-believers. In fact I
am sure of it. Several folks were walking around singing “Uncle Edgar's Yellow
Buick.” We need more of you to sing loud. Thank you to our friend Amanda for
capturing the essence of a Sno Show. of her drawing of our performance in Flora
City. The beauty of my hat and playing the guitar left-handed like Kurt Cobain
well Paul McCartney. Phil Bob’s looks like he is in Lynard Skynard and Dave
looks just like Amanda's rendering. This weekend we are back at Performance
Honda in Winter Garden, 11:00a.m.-2:00p.m.
We look forward to
performing around the state over the next few months. Hopefully we will come
close enough to some of you for a visit and a song.
Health tip of the week:
Walk slow and drink a lot of water.

Well sno cones,
Has it really been a couple of weeks since we
spoke? The Ugly Pumpkin Contest at the Alachua County Farmers Market a week
ago Saturday turned out to be just that.It got ugly. A winner was crowned
but Phil Bob and I didn't even make the finals. And to top that off Dave's
daughter, Leana, got her picture in the stinking paper with her name and not
one little flake about sno. Don't get me wrong, no I'm not bitter. Just
because we were there "giving of our art," and Leana upstages us. I wonder
if that suggest the level of our performance? Anyway,
CONGRATULATIONS LEANA!!!!! Thank you to the folks who came out and
sat on the hay bales. Your enthusiasm is very appreciated.
We have one more weekend off and then up to
Hoboken Georgia for the North Florida Bluegrass Association's Expo. I am
still pondering the festival being in Georgia. We have a special set for
the festival if anyone is planning to make the trip.
Check out The Mellow Mushroom in Gainesville,
the one in Florida. The Pizza is fantastic and we are playing there December
7th it is a Sunday afternoon show. I think it is time to bring a little sno
business to the masses around U of Florida. Gator-grass? I don't know about
that.
We will see,
Later,

SNO CONES!
We got an email from a DJ in Austria. He digs the
Sno tunes and wants to play them on his radio show. Don't you figure it would
be quality time in Vienna or Osttirol to hear "Uncle Edgar's Yellow Buick," or
"Nacho Mama" on the drive to work everyday. Several sno families came to
the show in Belleview and the kids are learning the songs faster than we are.
Maybe we better tighten up a little.
Look for us at the Alachua County Farmers Market/
Saturday October 25th( 9-noon.) We will participate in "The Ugly Pumpkin
Contest." Phil Bob and I are finalists! Also, coming up the
Guitar-Give-a-Way program during the holidays. Anyone can win except
Dave and Bingo. We would like to see one of our younger fans/ or "sno
flurries" win the guitar.
Thanks for your continued support or in some cases
harassment, we do appreciate all of you.

SNO CONES,
We performed at "The Villages"
last Sunday afternoon in the "Church On the Square." The place was packed and
get this, they had a shower in the back dressing room. How many showers do you
think I took while we were there. 3 would be the right answer. It just seemed
like the right thing to do. The show went well and all I can say is: can I get
an AARP discount if we would like to maybe pretend to be residents or least
get a shot on the polo or softball team? I could kick their... Anyway, I know
I'm bad. Dave and Phil
Bob have new nick names, Heckyll and Jeckyll. They really sound like magpies
when they get started. Thanks to Billy, the sound man, John, the host and
Rosemary, the MC at The Villages. All three of you went out of your way to
make us comfortable and kept me supplied with dry towels. On a personal note,
thank you to my wonderful wife for getting me there on time. I get lost
several times a weekend going to the gigs.
This weekend we will be in
Belleview on Saturday the 4th at 1:30p.m. for The Belleview Beautification
Coalition, "Old Timers Day." I am sensing a theme developing here. The show
will be behind City Hall in downtown Belleview. Information can be obtained by
calling (352)307-9191/(352) 687-9495 and ask for Sheila Lister.
If any of you can make the trip, maybe you can
guide me there.

Sno Cones,
The past couple of weeks we have performed at Leu Gardens/Orlando, thank you
Stuart and Gary, sound man. In Tampa at Gillespie Hall, to the coolest 6
people on the planet who came to our show, and in Flora City this past Sunday.
The response was what we had hope for, with of course the addition of another
100 people in Tampa that stayed home and waited on Tropical Storm Henry, which
does not warrant his Latino name. Several of you came to all the shows. Wow, I
mean the check is in the mail. Thank you.
To Tami, Flash of Green, and Wendy. Thank you. You
are right. It is fun and as proven in the past, when it stops being fun,
something needs to change. Looks for us in Belleview, Winter Park, and
Land-O-Lakes in the next several weeks. We are getting closer to the
completion the CD, Blurred Vision. Having Phil Bob should
help complete the process.
WE have a couple of weeks off before we perform at
The Villages on September 28th. I will have time to paint our living room and
den. Tons of Fun took a break but will be back out in October to play a couple
of children's programs. Sorry no one over the age of 93 will be permitted into
our show without their parents. Insurance concerns. Let look to good times
ahead!
Thank you SNO CONES,

Sno Cones,
I fell in the tub and broke two ribs last week.
Hence, I have been on a steady whine sense. Maybe this is one way of life
telling us we needed a break, or possibly I should stop bathing. Either way I
will be getting back in shape for the trip to Leu Gardens in Orlando on August
31st. Show starts at 3:00. This is a beautiful venue and should you come to
the show arrive early so you can roam around the grounds.
Thank you to the "beef jerky" girls for their
fatefulness and loyalty to Dave. You ladies realize he has weasel blood in
him, right? Only 419 of you figured out where we rehearse. I see I need
to change my clues and make them a little harder.
Just a few more weeks of summer and we go back out
on the road. I am ready and if you have not heard the new sound with Phil Bob
on bass you will be pleased when you do.
Take it slow and drink a lot of water,

Hello sno cones,
Sno business is good. Our trip to Northport last
weekend was worth the drive. Tom and Phyllis, Phyllis' parents, brothers
and sisters, and friends were very cool. Many of the children knew words to
our songs. Some of those kids were around when Kay Keyser was a band leader,
but I digress, thank you Groupies, seriously, that's their names, and a couple
of the sisters could definitely be our gr, I digress once again. Anyway, the
music is getting tight again, new songs are being written and rearranged
again, and if a bluebird lands on my shoulder I am out of here. Phil Jones is
full time on bass now and his experience, knowledge, talent, and sense of
humor has found a home.
One quick word to the original sno flake, Dr.
Lemuel Gorden, the first sno banjo player. We miss you, he's not dead, just
moved to Memphis, in case Lisa Marie comes back on weekends to do her laundry.
Good luck on the river and keep those pap smears coming.
Some people have figured out where our so called
secret rehearsal site is. It is on a lake and pretty much covers 3 counties.
The winner of the "Find the sno Ball" contest gets to name our next CD, to be
released by Christmas.
Stay cool,
sno boy

SNO CONES,
Imagine playing Fanfare and Fireworks on the 4th
of July Celebration during the day and it not being unbelievably hot. All that
whining I did before the shows and it turns out to be overcast and 81. By the
way, we know who that was yelling out, " I Don't Look Good Naked Anymore."
There may have been 8000 people there but you guys stood out like streakers.
Thank you for the enthusiasm. It gives us energy.
Phil Jones has joined SNO ROGERS and will play
bass, lead guitar, somebody has to, steel guitar, banjo, when Dave can't tune,
and add harmony to our singing. He pushes Dave and me to improve and continue
to pursue ambitious material.
Check out Tons of Fun, Wednesday July 9th @ 3:30
me. at the Tower Road Branch of the public Library in Gainesville. This show
will be televised for viewing on the new public assess channel 12. So if I
stink you all can watch me over and over again, sort of like Madame Cleo. Only
different!
Leu Gardens/ Orlando is scheduled for August 31st.
This is a wonderful venue and it also gives Stuart, the proprietor, an
opportunity to steal some of our new songs. Try and make the trip for this
one.
As always everyone's support is wonderful, even my
x-employer.
See you guys at the library show either at Tower
Road or Sunday with Dave at Micanopy.

Saturday June 21st, Sno will perform in Palatka at
the Riverfront Amphitheatre.
This is in downtown Palatka on Hwy 100 headed east
thru town on the right, just before the bridge.
The show begins at 7:00 p.m. In case of rain the
program will be held across the street at the Larimer Arts Center at 216 Reid
St.
Thank you to everyone for coming out the past two
weeks to catch our shows in Georgia and Gainesville. This weekend will be a
good one. Try and make the trip to see us this Saturday and be safe.

This past Saturday May 31st SNO showed up at the
Yalaha Bakery. This is one of the most hospitable and fun venues we have ever
played. Edith, the hostess is amazing and knows no strangers. The crowd is
warm and friendly. The food and baked items are superb. Thanks to all of you
for coming out to the show . We felt at home, you will too. If you haven't you
must visit the Yalaha Bakery 5 miles east of Leesburg on Highway 48. Tell
Edith SNO ROGERS says hello.
We look forward to going back.

Sno performed at the Theatre of
Memory on May 10th to a good crowd. Thank you for coming to High Springs. It
is better and cheaper than therapy. The band is getting tighter again and the
new songs are starting to sound like they are supposed too. Now if we can just
convince the local paper that SNO ROGERS is not a bluegrass musician then I
can see hope for civilization as we have yet to experience. Maybe I'm getting
ahead of myself. Last weekend we performed in Jacksonville and met some nice
people that enjoyed the SNO SHOW. This weekend Dave and I will perform at the
Florida Folk Festival in White Springs, likely without a bass player. If this
is the case then we will call ourselves, The Tire Kickers. Look for us at
10:00am Saturday for a guitar workshop/rhythms and then 2:00 pm at the Azalea
Stage. Sunday we are at the Seminole Camp at 3:00, bring ice please.
Look for SNO at the Downtown
Community Plaza on July 4th for the city's holiday celebration. No time has
been announced. July 3rd and Fanfare/Fireworks at UF's band shell has asked us
to perform this year. If I can find some of Madam Cleos hats then we will be
there. Again bring ice.

SNO ROGERS returns to the Theatre of Memory on
Saturday May 10th in High Springs.
February's show was packed. We can only hope you
guys will find your way back to see us
next Saturday night. We will be coming off the road
from 8 shows that week and consider this venue
our home base so if you can stand it come upstairs
after eating at the Great Outdoor Cafe.
Show starts at 8:00: $7:00 per.
Have a safe week,

Hello sno cones:
Well, April has past pretty quick and somewhere along the way I had a
birthday. Ouch!
The Tons Of Fun
shows came to Lake City, Florida with my friend Richie Stano performing with
me last week. Richie just returned from 3 months on the road with Nashville
recording artist Amy Dalley and the Toby Keith Tour.
Richie returned
home after 3 months on Sunday and Tuesday morning he was standing in front of
Five Points Elementary School in Lake City at 8:00a.m. preparing to perform
for 350 third, forth, and fifth graders. Thanks Richie you are a pro.
Yes, I learned a lot, and yes he is real good on the guitar blah, blah, blah.
We have more shows to play in the next few weeks at elementary schools around
north Florida. SNO ROGERS gets back to performing on May 10th at the
Theatre of Memory. Last show there was hot. Maybe we can all be
there again for dinner and a show.
Thank you to all of you keeping in touch with us on the web site. We
appreciate your interest and support. Look for us in Palatka in June,
Key West in July, and Keystone Height anytime.
We hope to see
you all soon.

April for Sno Rogers will be a mini- vacation for performing with
several Tons of Fun shows scheduled around Florida. Dave and Erin are
traveling north for several weeks to finally have a honeymoon and visit
Erin's family and explain to them who SNO ROGERS is!
Thank you to the fine folks from Sumter County who
took the time to email us how much they enjoyed the SNO SHOW when we were
there. We had Phil Jones playing bass that weekend and he is pretty good. We
do not perform at a regular venue yet, but we hope to find the right place
soon. Look for us in Jacksonville, St. Augustine, maybe Ft, Walton Beach, and
High Springs. Right now that is our camping schedule, maybe we will add some
gigs too that and make it funner.

Dave and I
will perform this Saturday Nov. 23 at 8:00pm at the Theater of Memory in
High Springs, Florida. This is an unscheduled performance to fill in for
The Scott Anderson Band, so they can go out and make big bucks. I hope a
bunch of you guys will show and just make them feel real bad about this.
We are going to have fun and play some new tunes and a couple of old ones
too. Come out to the show if you are around town.

Dave, Steve,
and I played in Land-O Lakes on Saturday night. We drove through a Jeb
Bush Rally, three times looking for our destination. Once we arrived at
our show the hospitality and crowd made up for the detour It is fun to
find younger Sno fans around the state. Some of you guys know all the
words to the songs. Dave and I have decided we will have to keep writing
and learning new tunes to keep you guessing. This weekend, Saturday
November 9, 2002, Sno Rogers will play in downtown Interlachen, at the
caboose, starting at 6:30 p.m. Sponsored by the Greater Palaka and
Putnam County Fine Arts Council. Free!!! Come see Scott
Anderson and Bruce Sheridan learn, "there is no business like sno
business."
Hope you
all will be there, it's no fun without you!

SNO ROGERS traveled to Hamilton County, Florida
on Thursday October 24th to perform the " Tons of Fun" show for all three
elementary schools. There is no doubt the Baja Men with "Who Let the
Dogs Out" and the "Cha Cha Slide," from Mr. C. should be on a Hamilton
County Elementary Schools greatest hits CD. Steve Landis, from the
"Daughters of the Revolution and the Gainesville Symphony performed with
me in front of around 800 Kindergarten thru 4th grade students. Our show
focused on character education and choices we all have to make, like
positive life style decisions about health, saying no to drugs, tobacco,
and understanding waysto resolve conflicts among friends without fighting
are some of the subjects we sang about. Steve, Richie Stano and I plan on
doing more of these shows in the future.

10-22-2002
Sno goes back on the road Thursday October 24th
to perform 3 TONS OF FUN shows for the Hamilton County School District. the shows will focus on character
education and choices for younger SNO fans.
The list of SNO players continues to grow. Steve Landis from
Mothers of The Revolution and the Gainesville Symphony is playing bass fiddle with the band. Along with Bruce
Sheridan we have our own dueling bass players. Now we need two tuba
players.
Come out to the SNO show in Interlachen on Nov.
9th @ 7:00 p.m.

Labor Day Bluegrass Festival was very good for the SNO show. Bruce
Sheridan and Scott Anderson from the Scott Anderson Band, check them out
on the web, http://scottandersonmusic.com/
played with me on the 30th and did very well. Plans are for them to return
for another sno show in the near future. Last weekend we played at the
Theater of Memory in High Springs and enjoyed having Dave McBrady and
Steve Landis perform with me. Good job having fun. Some folks just don't
get. Next show Riverfest at Poe Springs Sat. September 21 @ 11:30 am. Hope
to see you. SNO BOY
